1. Being Selfish Will Make You Healthier
Rosen and Deuter interviewed several executives for their book and found strong physical health to be a common trait in selfish people.
Selfish people are more likely to take better care of themselves and spend much less time serving the needs of others. Instead of spending all of their time at work, selfish people make time for themselves. They know in order to maintain hectic schedules they need to give their body a chance to relax and recoup.
Being healthier means less down time with the sniffles and more time for sex- yippee!
2. Being Selfish Will Make You More Confident.
Selfish people are more confident and less likely to give up on their goals. Selfish people tend to go after what they want unapologetically, and they’re not afraid to ask for what they want and need. Obviously if you are new to being selfish this can take a little time and practice. However if you are used to getting your way in the board room then you will get your way in the bedroom. Ok, its just a turn of phrase by you know what I mean. If you gain confidence in asking for what you need then it will be a piece of cake to communicate to your partner what you need during sex.
3. Being Selfish Will Help You Have Better Relationships.
People will have a harder time manipulating or taking advantage of you if you’re selfish.Setting your boundaries means knowing where you end and the other person begins. Saying no is an important part of any relationship. If you don’t have the confidence to say no to the things you don’t want then chances are you will end up resenting the person who asked you. In a relationship situation this can be fatal. Relationships are dependent on communication and if you cannot communicate what you don’t want chances are your partner won’t know either.
4. Being Selfish Will Make You Happier.
Selfish people spend their time doing the things they like to do. Knowing who you are and the things you enjoy will make you happier. Doing things for yourself is not a negative quality; it’s your job to take care of yourself and get what you need. Doing these things for yourself will make you a happier person. This happiness will be a positive influence on your relationship and help you get in the mood.
